Chart the Course: Developing the first-ever national K-12 data science framework

At the beginning of 2024, DS4E organized 11 focus groups made up of K-12 educators, students, higher education leaders, industry professionals, and policymakers, working alongside national educator associations such as NCTM (math), NSTA (science), NCSS (social studies), and CSTA (computer science). The goal was to discuss, identify, and rank priority learning outcomes for data education that students should learn by high school graduation.

At this webinar, participants from those groups share their experiences during the process, and attendees have the opportunity to cast their own votes on the 25 data science learning outcomes created by these focus groups at datascience4everyone.org/vote
