While K-12 data education is a relatively nascent field, there are already a variety of resources for teachers who want to implement data science in the classroom today. Here, schools and teachers can gather resources for implementing data science education into their classrooms ranging from year-long courses to short activities.

Discovery Partners Institute
Digital Scholars is an intensive summer program for high school and college students to build computing skills, increase college and career-readiness, and make connections to Chicago’s dynamic tech community. One of the courses includes Data Science Discovery, where students perform hands-on-analysis of real-world datasets to analyze and discover the impact of the data while using python. Students also reflect on the social issues surrounding data analysis such as privacy and design.
